These photographs are digital images that have been transformed into black and white images. I always loved black and white going back to my beginnings of photography in 1972, when I built my first darkroom in the basement of my family home in White Plains, NY. A good friend of the family taught me all the basics and help me get started. I printed traditional black and white images until 1998. As a professional photographer working in a studio I did all the black and white printing for the first 5 years of my career. I now enjoy creating digital Black and White prints using burning and dodging techniques just on the computer instead of the darkroom.
